10/26/2026, 13:38Heating will begin in Bishkek on October 28. This was announced by the city hall.
The decision was made in light of the cold snap and weather forecast. The start of the heating season should also reduce the strain on the power grid, as residents tend to use electric heaters more frequently when the cold weather sets in.
According to established rules, the heating season begins when the average daily air temperature remains at +8 °C or below for five consecutive days.
City Hall warned that temporary inconveniences are possible when the heating system is turned on.
