11/29/2025, 15:19Activity on the interbank currency market in Kyrgyzstan declined significantly between November 24 and 28. According to trading participants, the total volume of transactions for the week amounted to approximately $39.049 million. This is almost $26.5 million less than the previous week. At the same time, the dollar exchange rate remained unchanged at 87.45 KGS at the opening and closing of transactions.
During the week of November 24-28, the volume of spot transactions reached $19.3 million, while deferred transactions amounted to $19.75 million. The most active day was November 24, when the trading volume exceeded $14.15 million, accounting for more than a third of the weekly turnover. On other days, volumes did not exceed $8.7 million.
For comparison, a week earlier, from November 17 to 21, the market generated a turnover of $65.5 million, of which $44 million was accounted for by transactions with settlements on a different date. It is the sharp decline in such transactions that explains the overall decline in dynamics, with their volume falling by 55% compared to the previous period. Spot transactions decreased by 10.23%.
Despite the decline in activity, the dollar exchange rate has remained completely stable for two weeks, staying at 87.45 KGS.
