The Ministry of Finance has allocated more than 9.4 billion KGS in interest-free loans to entrepreneurs

The Ministry of Finance has financed interest-free loans for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises totaling 9.4 billion KGS. Support is provided as part of the Emergency Support for Micro, Small, and Medium-Sized Enterprises project, launched in 2021 with the support of international institutions.

As of September 1, 11,803 entrepreneurs received financial assistance under the project. Of these:

  • in category I (up to 1 million soms) — 9,615 entrepreneurs for 5.7 billion KGS;
  • in category II (up to 3 million soms) — 2,188 entrepreneurs for 3.7 billion KGS.

The program is part of the Cabinet of Ministers' anti-crisis measures and is aimed at supporting businesses in the face of economic challenges. Loans are provided in the national currency at zero interest rates and for a term of up to 36 months, including a grace period of up to three months.

According to the criteria, entrepreneurs who have been operating for at least six months and have an annual turnover of up to 8 million KGS (category I) or up to 30 million KGS (category II) are eligible to participate in the program. Financing for agriculture is not provided for under the project.
