The Ministry of Finance has closed the issue of two-year bonds placed through the National Bank

The Ministry of Finance has completed payments on the latest issue of government securities. This time, it concerns two-year bonds that were placed on the National Bank's platform.

According to the regulator, the last tranche of these securities was repaid in full at the beginning of April, amounting to 37 million 519.5 thousand KGS. The securities were placed in March 2023. Despite the fact that the announced issue volume was 300 million KGS, it was possible to place eight times less. The average yield on the securities was 15.25% with a coupon of 5%. At the same time, the maximum yield on the securities during the auction reached 15.3%.

Earlier, Akchabar reported that the Ministry of Finance had fully repaid 12-month bills placed on the National Bank's trading platform. The total amount of payments amounted to 1 billion KGS.

We would like to add that since May 2023, these two types of government securities have been placed on the Kyrgyz Stock Exchange. Thus, at the end of July, the Ministry of Finance's liabilities on 12-month promissory notes were estimated at 1 billion 973.9 million KGS, and on 2-year treasury bonds — 6 billion 65.6 million KGS.
