08/04/2025, 13:10The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, Adylbek Kasymaliyev, announced the launch of a new challenge as part of the Government Accelerators program at a meeting of the Presidential Administration. The initiative aims to radically simplify the procedure for replacing national driver's licenses.
According to Kasymaliyev, citizens face excessive bureaucracy: they need to visit a government agency at least twice, wait in queues, and collect up to five paper documents. The entire process takes at least four working days.
As part of the reform, all stages — application, document upload, and payment — will be digitized via the Tündük mobile app. This will allow citizens to replace their licenses in 5–10 minutes without leaving their homes.
According to government data, in the first half of 2025 alone, more than 85,000 driver's licenses were issued, of which almost 47,000 were replacements, confirming the relevance of the reform.
The initiative is planned to be fully implemented within 100 days.
