02/10/2025, 18:05Minister of Economy and Commerce Bakyt Sydykov held meetings with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom Nicholas Bowler and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Swiss Confederation Olivier Bangerter.
During the meetings, key issues of economic and investment cooperation between the countries were discussed.
The parties emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral relations and developing joint projects aimed at further growth of the Kyrgyz economy. In this regard, the possibilities of joint events aimed at improving coordination and promoting initiatives, including within the framework of a possible intergovernmental commission, were considered.
Particular attention was paid to the development of the national development program of the Kyrgyz Republic until 2030. It is focused on the development of high-potential industries such as light and manufacturing industries, mining, agriculture, agricultural processing and tourism, which are considered promising for economic growth and investment.
At the end of the meetings, the parties expressed their readiness for further active partnership and continuation of constructive dialogue aimed at strengthening economic ties.
