The Minister of Energy has met with a delegation of Kambar-Ata-1 HPP project donors**

From 7 to 11 October 2024, a delegation of the coordination committee of donors of the Kambar-Ata-1 HPP project visited Kyrgyzstan. The Committee was established in June 2024 at the International Forum on Energy Investment in Kyrgyzstan in Vienna. Its main goal is to develop the country's energy sector and attract investment in clean energy projects.

As part of the visit, the delegation familiarised itself with the progress of project preparation by visiting the Kambar-Ata-1 HPP site. Important issues and current progress were discussed during the Minister of Energy Taalaibek Ibraev's meetings with representatives of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and high-ranking officials.

A mechanism was developed for regular consultations and information exchange to ensure effective cooperation in the future. The delegation included representatives of the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, Islamic Development Bank, European Union, European Investment Bank, United States Agency for International Development and the British Foreign Office. Representatives from the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank and OPEC Fund participated remotely.

This mission was an important step in the Kambar-Ata-1 HPP project's implementation, aimed at strengthening cooperation in water and energy resources management in Central Asia.

Residents of the Creative Industries Park contribute 1 per cent of their revenue as membership fees to the Park’s management. These funds are used not only to support the management’s own operations, but also to support the creative sector.
