Fraudsters posing as National Bank employees are sending letters with notifications of outstanding debts

The National Bank has received reports that unknown individuals, posing as National Bank employees, are sending letters to individuals and legal entities notifying them of financial debts and threatening consequences, including criminal prosecution.

The ultimate goal of the perpetrators is to force citizens to transfer money. The fraudsters' accounts may contain the logo or genuine photograph of a National Bank employee copied from public sources. In this regard, the National Bank urges you to remain vigilant and under no circumstances trust such messages.

If in doubt, double-check the information with official sources and do not transfer money to strangers under any circumstances.

Remember that the National Bank does not serve individuals, therefore it does not track the presence or absence of financial debts of citizens, does not provide assistance in preventing or terminating criminal cases, and certainly does not ask to transfer money.
