11/18/2024, 10:16On November 14, 2024 in Baku, within the framework of the 29th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic Sanjarbek Bolotov took part in the Ministerial Meeting of the Special Program for the Economies of Central Asia (SPECA).
This initiative brings together the countries of the region for effective cooperation in key aspects of sustainable development, such as economic cooperation, innovation and environmental sustainability. The main outcome of the meeting was the signing of a declaration on the establishment of the SPECA Dialogue on Climate and Innovation.
This platform will become an important mechanism for sharing experience, attracting international investments and stimulating partnership among Central Asian countries in climate solutions.
One of the key issues of the discussion was the establishment of the Multi-partner Trust Fund for financing climate projects and programs. Sanjarbek Bolotov emphasized that the Kyrgyz Republic actively supports initiatives aimed at jointly overcoming climate challenges and developing a green economy, which is in line with the national priorities of sustainable development.
