The Department of Municipal Property of the Bishkek Mayor's Office has been criminally prosecuted for land fraud

The Prosecutor's Office of Bishkek revealed violations in the activities of the Department of Municipal Property Management under the Mayor's Office of the capital city. As a result of the inspection, the facts of making false information in the official documents for the lease of land plots were established, which led to incorrect calculations and losses for the budget.

Criminal cases were initiated on these facts, and investigative actions are currently underway.

In addition, the inspection revealed that land plots with a total area of 0.34 hectares and a market value of almost 100 million soms were illegally used by private individuals. There were also violations in terms of untimely payment of lease payments in the amount of more than 60 million soms.

As a result of the measures taken by the Prosecutor's Office, a 0.12 ha plot with a market value of almost 50 million soms has already been returned to municipal ownership and over 35 million soms of rent has been recovered.

The work on the return of the remaining plots and collection of debts continues.
