06/25/2026, 11:05Following the International Investment Business Forum “Kyrgyzstan—the Heart of Eurasia,” held in Bishkek, 12 memorandums and agreements of intent were signed, totaling over $150 million. This was announced by Ravshanbek Sabirov, director of the National Investment Agency.
According to him, the final amount may turn out to be higher, as negotiations between the participants are ongoing.
“The forum confirmed the high level of interest in developing investment cooperation within the SCO region. As a result, the National Investment Agency signed 12 memorandums and agreements of intent totaling over $150 million. However, this is not the final figure—business negotiations are ongoing,” Sabirov said at the opening of the International Industrial and Investment Exhibition of the Member States of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
He noted that the forum brought together more than 600 representatives of government agencies, the business community, financial institutions, international organizations, and SCO member states in Bishkek.
According to the agency head, one of the key outcomes of the event was the adoption of a resolution supporting Kyrgyzstan’s initiative to hold the SCO Investment Business Forum annually in the country currently holding the organization’s presidency. In addition, it is proposed to create a permanent platform for cooperation among the investment agencies of SCO member states.
Sabirov noted that today’s International Industrial and Investment Exhibition serves as a continuation of the forum and showcases the industrial, investment, and export potential of the SCO member states. He expressed confidence that the exhibition will help establish new business contacts, attract investment, and launch joint projects.
“I am confident that the agreements reached will be put into practice and will contribute to the implementation of new joint projects,” he emphasized.
