06/17/2026, 12:59Eight cases of breaches of environmental legislation have been identified in the Issyk-Kul region. Following the inspections, fines totalling 111,500 KGS have been imposed on the offenders.
According to the Environmental and Technical Supervision Service under the Ministry of Natural Resources, the recorded violations included littering in unauthorised areas, waste incineration and the illegal discharge of wastewater.
Administrative offence reports have been drawn up for each incident.
The inspections are being carried out as part of efforts to strengthen monitoring of compliance with environmental legislation in the region. Particular attention is being paid to preserving the environment of the Issyk-Kul region during the tourist season.
The department noted that these enforcement operations will be carried out on an ongoing basis to prevent environmental violations, protect the environment and ensure the rational use of natural resources.
