Metals account for 58.1 per cent of Kyrgyzstan’s manufacturing output

In January–August 2026, the production of base metals and finished metal products accounted for 58.1 per cent of the total output of Kyrgyzstan’s manufacturing sector.

Production in this sector totalled 276 billion 522.5 million KGS.

Food products, including beverages and tobacco products, took second place in terms of volume — 81 billion 836.1 million KGS, or 17.2 per cent of the total. 

Production of rubber and plastic products, as well as other non-metallic mineral products, amounted to 61 billion 487.4 million KGS, or 12.9 per cent.

Refined petroleum products accounted for 20 billion 40 million KGS, or 4.2 per cent, whilst textiles, clothing, footwear, leather and leather goods accounted for 17 billion 664 million KGS, or 3.7 per cent.

In total, over the eight-month period, the output of the manufacturing sector amounted to 475 billion 966 million KGS.
