11/24/2025, 17:11A new machine and tractor station (MTS) has begun operating in the Ak-Suu, Tyup and Zheti-Oguz districts of the Issyk-Kul region, with 108 million KGS allocated from the Presidential Fund for its construction and equipment.
The opening ceremony of the MTS was attended by the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry, Bakyt Torobaev. The station was created to increase potato production, improve product quality, reduce costs and strengthen food security in the regions.
More than 60 units of agricultural machinery will be added to the station's balance sheet, including 10 potato harvesters, which will ensure fully mechanised harvesting without manual labour. Thirty-two units of machinery have already been delivered, and the rest are being manufactured at factories.
MTS will provide a full range of mechanised services to farmers at below market cost, and the funds earned will be used to further expand the material and technical base and services.
