The National Bank of Kyrgyzstan is seeking a contractor to mint new collector coins

The National Bank of Kyrgyzstan has announced an open tender for the production and supply of commemorative coins titled “Taigan Jarysh” (dog races) and “Orukzar” (Apricot Orchard). In this way, the regulator continues to build a collection of coins that serve both as an investment vehicle and as a vehicle for the country’s cultural heritage.

Tender documentation will be available to participants until May 15, 2026. It can be obtained in electronic format via the regulator’s official website—provided a transfer of ownership agreement is signed. This format has already become the standard for the National Bank’s major procurements aimed at international participation.

The preparatory stage includes a pre-tender conference, which will be held online on April 28. The regulator notes that participants must contact the technical coordinator in advance to connect, which effectively serves as a filter for genuinely interested participants.

The final stage—the receipt and opening of bids—is scheduled for May 20. On the same day, the bids will be reviewed in the presence of company representatives. As emphasized, bids received after the deadline will be automatically excluded from the process.

We should add that the National Bank has been issuing them since 1995, and during this time they have become not only an object of interest for collectors but also a tool for promoting national heritage.

Today, the National Bank’s lineup includes 99 types of collectible coins, 75 of which are made of precious metals. Among the latest releases are “Tushoo Kesuu,” “Founding Fathers of Modern Kyrgyz Statehood,” and a coin commemorating the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory.
