The National Bank has finally issued a license to Asman Bank

The National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic has announced that it has issued a license to Asman Bank CJSC for the right to conduct banking operations in national and foreign currencies. The decision was made by the NBKR Board on February 4, 2026.

The bank had to wait two years to obtain a license to operate.

As a reminder, the new foreign bank, Asman Bank, was registered with the Ministry of Justice on June 4, 2024. According to the procedure, the bank had six months to submit documents to the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic. Now the regulator has another six months to review them.

Asman Bank was established with foreign capital. According to the ministry, the country of origin of the capital is Cyprus. The sole founder of the bank is Mikhail Kuzovlev. A search in open sources for this name reveals information about a Russian financier, the former head of Bank of Moscow. According to the latest data from the Ministry of Justice database, Erkeayim Biyalieva has been appointed as the head of the bank, although previously it was Erkin Zhumabaev, who headed Keremet Bank and Bank Kompanion.
