The National Bank warned about a new scam on Instagram

The National Bank has reported the discovery of another scam being spread through social media. Unknown individuals are posting advertisements about “quick money” on Instagram.

After establishing contact, they offer to register and create a fake crypto wallet, which supposedly displays the earned funds. To make it more convincing, the attackers show a false balance.

The scammers then claim that it is impossible to withdraw funds due to limits on international transfers through Western Union. To “disable” these limits, they demand a commission payment.

"The regulator urges people not to trust such messages and calls, and under no circumstances to transfer money to strangers. The National Bank does not send official documents via messengers, does not ask to transfer money, and does not serve individuals," commented the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic.

If you suspect that you have been a victim of fraud, you must immediately block your bank card and contact law enforcement agencies.
