The National Bank has extended the permission to export worn-out dollars until September 1, 2026

The Board of the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan has amended the resolution of December 13, 2024, on the temporary permission for commercial banks to export worn-out cash dollars.

According to the decision, the validity of the permission has been extended from March 1, 2026, to September 1, 2026. The relevant amendments have been made to paragraphs 1, 2, and 5 of the previously effective resolution.

Thus, commercial banks in Kyrgyzstan will retain the ability to export worn-out cash dollars from the country for another six months.

The resolution comes into force on the day of its official publication.

The document will also be brought to the attention of commercial banks, microfinance and microcredit companies, exchange offices, the Union of Banks of Kyrgyzstan, relevant associations, as well as the Ministry of Economy, the State Customs Service, and the Border Service of the State Committee for National Security.

The extension of the permit's validity period reflects the continuing need to regulate the circulation of worn foreign currency in the domestic market.
