02/19/2026, 17:36Kyrgyz citizens can now apply to exchange their ordinary passport online via the Tunduk mobile app. The new service was launched by the state institution ‘Kyzmat’.
The service is available for the replacement of foreign passports issued since 2020. The processing time for the document remains standard — 18 working days.
You can submit an application through the app in several cases: when your passport expires or at your request, when your personal details change, if the document is damaged, or if it is lost.
When filling out the application, users can change the transliteration of their surname, first name and patronymic into Latin characters. According to the current regulations on the 2025 model passport, the patronymic is indicated if available and at the citizen's request, whereas in the ID card it remains mandatory.
The service provides modern digital functions: uploading a photo from a phone, taking a photo directly in the application, or using a photo from the Public Service Centre via a unique barcode — shooting at the Public Service Centre is free of charge.
The photo requirements comply with ICAO international standards: neutral facial expression, direct gaze, colour photo on a white background, size 35×45 mm, taken no later than six months before submitting the documents. Headwear is not permitted, with the exception of a headscarf that does not cover the oval of the face.
To submit an application, you need a valid electronic cloud signature, which can be checked in your personal account in the Tündük app.
If you have any questions, please call the call centre on 119 — the call is free of charge.
The Kyzmate State Agency notes that the launch of the service is part of the phased digitalisation of government services, aimed at improving their accessibility, convenience and transparency.
