The regulator emphasized its ongoing efforts to implement modern standards and technologies, such as the national ELQR standard and projects based on the “Elcart” card.
“Despite measures to ensure high-quality payment services, technical disruptions periodically occur due to external factors, such as power outages, internet issues, and other unforeseen circumstances. These factors affect the stability of platforms and services, leading to delays in operations,” the NBKR stated.
The regulator added that since the beginning of the year, more than 180 instructions have been issued, 92 warnings have been made, and 5 fines have been imposed on commercial banks. Work to improve the infrastructure will continue.
