CCAA's National Brand Competition honored the best manufacturers

The One Village One Product (OVOP) National Brand Competition was held in the capital, where the best regional producers were identified. The main award was won by Zhankaracheva Batmakan from Talas region with the product “Pumpkin Soup”. The project, implemented since 2007 by the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic together with JICA, promotes the development of rural entrepreneurship, job creation and promotion of Kyrgyz products to new markets. This year, more than 50 new products took part in the competition.

The jury, which included representatives of government agencies, business associations and international organizations, evaluated the products based on the criteria of quality, originality, market potential and export appeal. As a result, 21 laureates were awarded, the best brands of 2023-2024 were recognized, and gold, silver and bronze were awarded in various categories. In addition, the winner in the category “Best Active Region” was determined.

The competition plays an important role in regional business development by helping local manufacturers improve product quality, strengthen their brand and expand their markets. The winners will receive additional opportunities for growth, and the project itself will continue to attract new participants. After the ceremony, the guests could taste the products and purchase their favorites.
