    National Statistical Committee and KOSTAT have launched the second phase of training on social statistics

    The National Statistics Committee with Statistics Korea (KOSTAT) has launched the second phase social statistics training. The event will be held until 4 October and is a follow-up to the previous workshop on economic statistics.

    The training aims to improve the quality of collecting, analysing and interpreting social data, as well as strengthen the professional skills of KOSTAT staff. Experts from KOSTAT will present modern data processing methods and share practical experience, which will improve the quality of research and make data more accessible to the public.

    The training programme includes lectures on key aspects of social statistics and methods of measuring quality of life. The main topics to be covered are:

    • social statistics and quality of life measurement;
    • labour and employment;
    • income, consumption and assets;
    • subjective well-being.

    At the end, there will be a closing ceremony where certificates will be presented to the participants. This workshop plays an important role in improving the availability and accuracy of statistical data, contributing to the development of social statistics in Kyrgyzstan.
