NEG reduced energy consumption at its branch by 30% thanks to the installation of motion sensors

The Kyrgyz National Electric Grid Open Joint Stock Company continues to pursue its policy of improving energy efficiency and digitising internal processes. Automatic lighting control systems are being installed in the company's administrative buildings, using motion sensors and natural light sensors.

The new equipment is being installed in the corridors of office buildings, including passageways between floors. The system allows lighting fixtures to be adjusted depending on movement and light levels. When no one is present, the lights turn off automatically, and when movement is detected and there is insufficient daylight, they turn on.

A pilot project has already been implemented at the Chui Electric Grid Company. According to the company, after installing the system in a three-storey administrative building, annual energy consumption was reduced from 24,000 kWh to 17,500 kWh, equivalent to a 27% saving.

Work on the introduction of smart lighting is continuing in other branches of OJSC ‘NESK’, including new administrative buildings, production and distribution power grids, as well as energy supply services. The company emphasises that such technologies pay for themselves in the shortest possible time and significantly reduce operating costs.

NESK encourages all institutions and commercial organisations to make more active use of energy-efficient solutions in their office infrastructure, including automated lighting systems.

This approach not only reduces the load on the power grid, but also contributes to sustainable development and corporate environmental responsibility.
