Nominal incomes of Kyrgyz citizens rose by 6.6%

The nominal cash income of the population of Kyrgyzstan in 2025 amounted to 987.3 billion KGS. Compared with the previous year, it increased by 6.6%. This is evidenced by the results of a sample survey of households.

Employment remains the main source of income for citizens. Wages and other employment-related income accounted for 78.7 per cent of all cash income received by the population.

Social transfers were the second most significant source, accounting for 13.1 per cent. Kyrgyz citizens received a further 5.7 per cent of their income from the sale of agricultural produce grown on private smallholdings.

However, despite the growth in income in nominal terms, their purchasing power declined. Average real per capita cash income in 2025 stood at 11,401.1 KGS per month, which is 3.3 per cent less than the previous year.

Consequently, the growth in cash income failed to fully offset the impact of inflation, resulting in a decline in the population’s real disposable income.
