The new Osh Bazaar in Bishkek is scheduled to open by August 2026

President Sadyr Zhaparov inspected the progress of construction on the new Osh Bazaar in Bishkek. This was reported on the official website of the President of Kyrgyzstan.

The new shopping and market complex will be one of the capital’s largest infrastructure projects. The total area of the bazaar will be 155,000 square metres. The project envisages a two-storey building with an underground level and over 10,000 retail units.

According to the presidential administration, the retail space will be allocated to specific sectors of trade. The complex will also include storage facilities, parking areas and infrastructure to enable businesses to operate year-round.

Construction is scheduled to be completed by August 2026.

Once the facility is operational, the existing Osh Market, located in the central part of Bishkek, will be relocated to the new site. The authorities intend to create a green space for residents to relax on the site of the current market.

It is also reported that following the launch of the new bus station and the Osh Bazaar in Bishkek, public transport routes will be reviewed to ensure the convenience of residents and visitors to the capital.
