It is planned to introduce an electronic queue for trucks at the Kyzyl-Kiya border crossing point

The Ministry of Economy and Commerce in cooperation with the State Customs Service under the Ministry of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic will initiate a pilot project to introduce an electronic queue management system for trucks.

The initiative, which starts on November 30, will affect the Kyzyl-Kiya-autoroadway checkpoint on the border with Uzbekistan. The project is aimed at optimizing logistics, speeding up border procedures and increasing the transparency of operations.

The electronic system will enable truck drivers to pre-book their border crossing time through a website, arriving at the waiting area by a given hour.

This innovation will minimize waiting time, reduce the workload at the border, increase the efficiency of trucking and simplify trade operations. Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce Iskender Asylkulov emphasized the importance of this step to improve transport infrastructure, facilitate cross-border trade and increase the country's investment attractiveness.

Training activities have been organized for the successful implementation of the project: seminars for transport companies and practical trainings for drivers at the border crossing point were held.

Implementation of the electronic queue system in Kyrgyzstan is carried out with technical assistance from the ITC International Trade Center (UN/WTO) and funding from the European Union under the program “Ready4Trade Central Asia: Path to Prosperity through the Trans-Caspian Transport Corridor”.
