Three checkpoints on the Kyrgyz-Uzbek border will operate around the clock

Three road checkpoints on the Kyrgyz-Uzbek section of the state border — Kadamzhai-Avtodorozhny, Chechme-Avtodorozhny and Ak-Kya-Avtodorozhny — have switched to round-the-clock operation. This was reported by the Border Service of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The decision was made following negotiations between the heads of the border agencies of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan. The checkpoints have switched to round-the-clock operation to create more comfortable conditions for citizens crossing the border, especially during the summer tourist season.

Thanks to the new schedule, citizens of Uzbekistan will be able to visit the Batken region at any time of the day, including the Shakhimardan enclave, Lake Kurban-Kol, and the Dugoba and Gauvian gorges.

Only citizens of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan can cross these checkpoints.

The round-the-clock schedule will be in effect until 1 October 2025.
