02/03/2026, 13:43The Ministry of Labour, Social Security and Migration of the Kyrgyz Republic has highlighted the key changes introduced by the new Labour Code.
Now, in the event of delayed payment of wages, holiday pay, severance pay or other payments, employers are required to charge a penalty of 0.25% of the unpaid amount for each calendar day of delay until the actual payment is made.
A limitation period has also been established, whereby an employee has the right to go to court and claim unpaid funds within three years from the date when the salary or other payments should have been transferred.
