07/22/2026, 17:12Gross construction output in Kyrgyzstan for January–June 2026 amounted to 208.7 billion KGS. Compared with the same period last year, the figure rose by 69.6 per cent, according to statistics for the reporting period.
Growth in the construction sector is linked to an increase in capital investment, the implementation of infrastructure projects and the commissioning of new social and energy facilities.
One of the factors driving this growth was housing construction under the state programme ‘Menin Üyüm’. During the first six months of 2026, the construction of 1,848 flats was completed.
In addition, three outpatient clinics with a total value of 25.7 million KGS were commissioned.
Energy projects made a significant contribution. In the Jalal-Abad region, the ‘Kainama-2’ small hydroelectric power station, with a capacity of 4.8 MW, was commissioned. In the Sokuluk district of the Chui region, the ‘Sokuluk’ and ‘Tuyuk’ small hydroelectric power stations were commissioned.
In the Osh Region, five energy facilities have commenced operations, which should improve the reliability of the region’s power supply. Furthermore, in the Batken Region, the ‘Suu-Bashi’ high-voltage substation has been commissioned.
The new substation will supply electricity to 2,224 residential properties, the village of Zhany-Dostuk, the industrial zone, the ‘Batken City’ housing estate, a new stadium with a capacity of 10,000 spectators, the ‘Chet-Bulak’ neighbourhood, the village of Buzhum and the Russian school currently under construction.
By way of comparison, between January and June 2025, the volume of construction work increased by 33.1 per cent. In 2026, the sector’s growth rate more than doubled.
