07/22/2026, 14:23On 22 July, Ravshanbek Sabirov, Head of the National Investment Agency under the President of Kyrgyzstan, visited the Glass Centre LLC plant currently under construction in the village of Novopokrovka, Chui Region. The working visit took place as part of efforts to monitor the implementation of investment projects aimed at developing the country’s industrial potential.
During the visit, the head of the agency familiarised himself with the progress of construction of the production complex, which will manufacture glass containers and reflective glass. Preparatory work for the commissioning of the plant was also discussed with investors and the company’s management.
According to Ravshanbek Sabirov, supporting investment projects right up to their launch is one of the state’s key priorities.
“Every investment project that is successfully implemented is an indicator of Kyrgyzstan’s investment appeal and the business community’s confidence in the country. Our main task is not only to attract investment, but also to provide comprehensive support for projects until their successful launch. It is precisely such production facilities that lay the foundations for the country’s new industrial economy, create new jobs and help to attract further investment,” he noted.
The project is being implemented as part of Kyrgyz-Uzbek investment cooperation. The total investment amounts to $5.5 million. Of this sum, 50.7 per cent is financed by the Uzbekistan–Kyrgyzstan Development Fund, whilst 49.3 per cent comes from the investors’ own funds.
It is expected that the launch of the plant will increase the production of domestic building materials, reduce dependence on imported glass products, create new jobs and enhance Kyrgyzstan’s investment appeal. The National Investment Agency emphasised that the implementation of such projects remains one of the priorities of state policy in the field of industrial development and the attraction of foreign direct investment.
