The National Bank of Kyrgyzstan's obligations to the IMF exceeded 20 billion KGS

The Kyrgyz National Bank's obligations to the International Monetary Fund under special drawing rights (SDRs) amounted to 20.46 billion KGS at the end of 2025. These figures are included in the regulator's liability structure.

According to the report, the figure has increased compared to 2024, when liabilities to the IMF amounted to 12.9 billion KGS. Thus, over the year, the volume of liabilities increased by approximately 7.55 billion KGS, or 58.5%.

The report states that these are obligations under the SDRs received from the IMF through distribution. These funds are part of the international reserve assets that are distributed by the fund among participating countries and recorded on the balance sheets of central banks.

Overall, the National Bank's total liabilities at the end of last year reached 593.15 billion KGS, compared to 425.22 billion KGS a year earlier.

The largest item of liabilities remains banknotes and coins in circulation, the volume of which increased to 300.78 billion KGS, compared to 240.42 billion KGS a year earlier.

The following also increased:
