From Moskvich’s to Mercedes — 106 municipal vehicles to be sold in Bishkek

On 24 September, Bishkek City Council will hold an open auction for the sale of 106 municipally-owned vehicles. The lots include cars, lorries, buses, tractors, excavators and specialised machinery, with all vehicles listed as non-operational.

The auction will begin on 24 September at 10:00 at 168 Chuy Avenue. Registration for participants closes on 18 September at 17:00.

The oldest vehicle on the list was manufactured in 1980, whilst the newest was produced in 2009.

To take part, bidders must submit an application stating the number of their chosen lot, a valid form of identification, and proof of payment of a deposit amounting to 10 per cent of the starting price.

The cheapest lot listed is a 1982 RAF-2203 body shell, with an estimated value of 4,219 KGS. Several ‘IZh’ and ‘Moskvich’ cars are on offer starting at around 6,400 KGS.

Among the most expensive lots are a 2004 Mercedes-Benz S 500 for 243,750 KGS and a 1996 Mercedes-Benz 200E for 227,400 KGS.

In total, the list comprises 106 vehicles belonging to various municipal institutions and enterprises, including ‘Bishkekvodokanal’, ‘Bishkekteploset’, ‘Tazalyk’ and ‘Bishkeksvet’.
