The relevant draft bill was approved at first reading by the Parliament’s Committee on Finance, Budget, Entrepreneurship and Competition on 15 September.
The bill provides for amendments to the laws ‘On Joint-Stock Companies’, ‘On the Securities Market’ and ‘On Mortgage Securities’. The initiative comes from the Prime Minister.
According to the document, it is proposed that a summary of an issuer’s quarterly report be published on the stock exchange’s official website no later than 30 calendar days after the end of the quarter. The annual report must be published no later than 30 days after its approval.
Furthermore, it is proposed that information on material facts be published on the stock exchange’s official website rather than in the media.
Overall, the draft law aims to reduce the administrative burden on market participants, eliminate excessive requirements, enhance regulatory transparency and adapt legislation to digitalisation.
