06/05/2025, 12:55In 2025, it is planned to conduct 48 operations on the basis of the National Center for Maternal and Child Health. All expenses will be covered by the republican budget - it will require 29.6 million soms, i.e. about 617 thousand soms for one transplant. The project is published on the website of Koomduk Talcuu for public discussion.
The Ministry of Health notes that kidney transplantation is much cheaper and more effective than permanent hemodialysis: the annual cost of dialysis per patient exceeds 900 thousand soms, while after transplantation - 250 thousand soms for medicines.
In 2024, 26 free surgeries have already been carried out on the initiative of the President. Now the program is planned to expand to improve the quality and life expectancy of patients.
Also, the project will fix the retroactive effect - it will allow to take into account the surgeries started in May 2025 in Bishkek State Hospital of Kyrgyz-Turkish Friendship.
