The first state-owned cryptocurrency exchange has begun voluntary liquidation

OJSC ‘Coin Nomad Exchange’ has announced the start of the voluntary liquidation process. The decision was taken by the company’s sole shareholder on 3 September 2026.

Claims from creditors will be accepted for one month from the date of publication of the announcement. Claims may be submitted to: Bishkek, 62/2 Manas Avenue, 5th floor, East Wing, or to the address specified in the company’s notice.

As a reminder, Coin Nomad Exchange was registered on 30 December 2024 as the first state-owned cryptocurrency exchange in Kyrgyzstan. The sole shareholder is the Ministry of Finance, and the company’s authorised capital stands at 100 million KGS.

In July, ‘Akchabarreported that, for the first half of 2026, Coin Nomad Exchange made a net profit of 1.47 million KGS. However, the company’s core business remained loss-making: operating expenses amounted to 1.57 million KGS, whilst the profit was generated by 3.03 million KGS in income from non-operating activities.

Earlier, in March, ‘Akchabar’ reported that Finnazor had fined Coin Nomad Exchange 50,000 KGS for failing to submit mandatory reports on time. The company has also fallen behind on its tax and statutory payments.
