11/08/2025, 16:11The Presidential Administration held a meeting on ensuring coal supplies to the population and key sectors of the economy, as well as on strengthening control over prices for coal, fuel and lubricants, and food products.
The meeting was held in the format of a video conference with the participation of the President's plenipotentiary representatives in the regions, heads of district state administrations, city mayors, and representatives of relevant state bodies. The meeting was chaired by Bakyt Torobaev, Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry.
The main topic of the meeting was preventing coal price increases and ensuring its availability to the population.
The Deputy Prime Minister instructed district state administrations, the Antimonopoly Service, and law enforcement agencies to strengthen control over coal prices in warehouses, as well as prices for fuel and lubricants.
In addition, the state-owned enterprise Kyrgyzkumur was instructed to ensure close cooperation with local authorities and coal mining enterprises to provide the population with coal at affordable prices in a timely and uninterrupted manner.
It was also noted that it is necessary to consider switching social facilities to alternative heating systems. Instructions were given to strengthen control over prices for socially significant goods and ensure their availability to the population by organizing fairs on weekends until the spring period of next year.
During the heating season, the population needs 1 million 465 thousand tons of coal, and budgetary organizations need 309.14 thousand tons. There are 720 coal warehouses operating across the country.
During the meeting, it was emphasized that the responsibility of officials for the fulfillment of the tasks set will be considered.
