The Kyrgyz Border Service has been removed from the State Committee for National Security and made a separate body

President Sadyr Zhaparov signed a decree amending the structure and composition of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic.

According to the document, in paragraph 1 of Decree No. 425 of 12 October 2021:

the sixth paragraph is now worded as "the chairman of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic";

a new paragraph has been added: "the State Border Service of the Kyrgyz Republic".

In addition, the Border Service, which was previously part of the SCNS, has been transformed into a separate body — the State Border Service of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The Cabinet of Ministers has been instructed to bring its decisions into line with the decree and take all necessary measures. The document comes into force upon its official publication.
