02/22/2026, 08:37The Ministry of Labour, Social Protection, and Migration informs about the procedure for granting maternity benefits.
Eligibility extends to employed women in employment relationships with their employers, individual entrepreneurs, members of peasant (farmer) households (KFH), and women officially recognized as unemployed with access to unemployment benefits. The basis for benefit assignment is a disability certificate issued by healthcare organizations.
Applications should be submitted as follows: employed women in employment relationships at their workplace; individual entrepreneurs, KFH members, and officially unemployed individuals at territorial labour, social protection, and migration offices.
Required documents include an application form (for employed women) and a disability certificate; for entrepreneurs, KFH members, and officially unemployed individuals entitled to unemployment benefits, an application form for maternity benefit (approved form) and a PIN are necessary.
Additional information required for benefit assignment is requested through interagency electronic interaction via “Tunduk” in electronic format. The amount and payout procedure are as follows: employed women receive 100% of their salary for the first 10 working days, and from the 11th day onwards, a fixed amount of 2,000 KGS per month from the republican budget. For entrepreneurs, KFH members, and officially unemployed women eligible for unemployment benefits, from the 11th day onwards, the benefit is 2,000 KGS per month, effective from January 1, 2024, which is based on 20 calculation units. Women working in high-altitude and remote inaccessible zones receive 100% of their salary for all working days.
Benefit payments from the 11th day are carried out centrally by subordinate divisions of the Ministry of Labour, Social Protection, and Migration of Kyrgyzstan, through transfers to transit accounts at Eldik Bank and Aiyl Bank, upon presentation of the applicant’s passport.
