Revenues from Kumtor to the Kyrgyz budget exceeded 13.2 billion KGS

Revenues from Kumtor in the form of gross income tax and the annual payment for the development of Kyrgyzstan’s mineral resource base totaled 13.22 billion KGS for the January–April period. Compared to the same period last year, the company’s payments more than doubled.

According to data from the Ministry of Finance, the category “Taxes not allocated by category” received 13.2207 billion KGS over the first four months of this year, compared to 6.3271 billion KGS a year earlier.

The bulk of the revenue came from Kumtor’s gross income tax—8.14 billion KGS. For comparison, in January–April 2025, the figure was 4.22 billion KGS. Thus, the growth amounted to about 93%.

Another 5.06 billion KGS came from the annual payment for the development of Kyrgyzstan’s mineral resource base. A year ago, this figure was 2.11 billion KGS. The increase is nearly 2.4 times.

Overall, total revenue from Kumtor for the year increased by approximately 6.9 billion KGS, or more than 109%.
