The Chairman of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic met with the Kyrgyz business community

On 16 March 2026, the Chairman of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic, Lieutenant General Zhumgalbek Shabdanbekov, held a meeting with representatives of the Kyrgyz business community. The meeting focused on ensuring the stable operation of businesses and creating conditions for transparent operations.

The Head of the State Committee for National Security emphasised that the country’s economic development depends directly on stable business, new jobs and the formation of a tax base. He noted that law enforcement agencies should not interfere but rather protect the economy, and promised to support entrepreneurs in the event of pressure.

“Honest businesses must be able to operate freely and with confidence,” stated Zhumgalbek Shabdanbekov.

Entrepreneurs put forward their proposals: to ensure transparency in inspections and to provide information on legislative changes. In turn, the Chairman of the State Committee for National Security noted that illegal actions by officials would be rigorously investigated, and entrepreneurs involved in criminal schemes would be held accountable.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the head of the State Committee for National Security emphasised that sustainable economic development and the country’s prosperity are only possible through mutual respect and partnership between the state and business.
