The president commented on the construction of a $55 million mosque

President Sadyr Zhaparov commented on the construction of a $55 million mosque, which is being carried out by businessman Abdukadyr Khabibulla.

According to the head of state, this is not just a mosque — there will be a madrasah where children can receive systematic religious education and prepare for further study at the Islamic Academy in Tokmak.

Zhaparov stressed that the initiative is aimed at increasing religious literacy in the country and preventing the influence of destructive trends. Graduates of the madrasah will work as imams in mosques throughout the country, which will help reduce internal conflicts and create a unified system of religious education.

The president noted that there is no personal gain for the businessman in this project: after completion of construction, the facility will be transferred entirely to the Kyrgyz side.
