12/03/2025, 10:47President Sadyr Zhaparov will pay a state visit to Pakistan on 3-4 December at the invitation of Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif.
This was announced by Sagyumbek Abdumutalip, head of the foreign policy department of the presidential administration.
During the visit, President Sadyr Zhaparov will hold bilateral talks with Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, President Asif Ali Zardari, Speaker of the National Assembly (Lower House of Parliament) Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, and Chairman of the Senate (Upper House of Parliament) Yousaf Raza Gilani.
The parties will discuss topical issues of bilateral cooperation in all key areas of mutual interest, as well as the prospects for further development of Kyrgyz-Pakistani relations.
‘A Kyrgyz-Pakistani business forum will also be held as part of the visit’, — Sagynbek Abdumutalip noted.
Diplomatic relations between Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan were established on 10 May 1992.
The last official visit of the President of Kyrgyzstan to Pakistan took place in 2005.
Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan cooperate within such international platforms as the United Nations, the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation, the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation and the Economic Cooperation Organisation.
