11/09/2025, 22:15The China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway project is being implemented as a commercial partnership between the three countries and will not increase the country's national debt. Sadyr Zhaparov stated this in his address to citizens.
“The three countries are jointly building the road, putting it into operation, and in 35 years, two parties will withdraw from the project, and the road will become the sole property of Kyrgyzstan,” Sadyr Zhaparov noted.
The president emphasized that this project is of great importance for the future of the country and its role in the global economy.
"If we imagine that all the countries of the world are united in a single economic ocean, then China itself is a separate economic ocean. And now we are building a railway that will connect these two oceans. This road will pass through the territory of Kyrgyzstan. In the future, we will become a transit country and will be able to influence global economic policy," he said.
That is why, according to Sadyr Zhaparov, Kyrgyzstan must complete this project as soon as possible.
“We must not give in to provocations and must complete this project as soon as possible. The main thing is that it will not affect the budget in the future,” the president concluded, adding that 90% of such large projects are not directly related to the state budget.
