01/12/2026, 16:55The structure of demand in the Kyrgyz labour market is shaped by the largest professional areas, while the dynamics within them remain diverse, according to a study by HeadHunter Central Asia.
Sales and customer service remain the leaders in terms of the number of vacancies, accounting for 15.7% of vacancies, which is 6% more than in 2024. Marketing, advertising and PR (10.9% of vacancies, +14.6%) and the automotive business (6.6%, +12.4%) are also showing significant growth. Information technology is showing record growth of +19.2%, although its share of total vacancies is 4.8%.
Medium-sized market segments show more modest growth. These include administrative staff (5%, +1.9%), construction and real estate (4.8%, +1.6%), tourism, hotels and restaurants (4.3%, +0.4%) and medicine and pharmaceuticals (3.4%, +4.9%).
At the same time, demand is declining in some mass segments: finance and accounting (6.7%, −0.5%), domestic and service staff (4.5%, −0.4%), labourers (4.2%, −10.6%) and transport, logistics and shipping (3.7%, −2.1%).
Niche segments are showing the fastest growth. For example, the number of vacancies has increased in science and education (2.3%, +27.9%), senior and middle management (1.2%, +19.4%), law (1.2%, +21.3%), arts, entertainment and media (1.2%, +13.8%) and especially insurance (0.2%, +62.1%) .
At the same time, the least sought-after areas were agriculture (0.7%, −22.3%), raw materials extraction (0.8%, −16.5%), security (0.4%, −12.7%) and strategy, investment and consulting (0.9%, −5%).
