11/25/2025, 11:25The republican budgets of the Eurasian Economic Union countries again showed mixed dynamics in January–September. However, the overall conclusion remains the same: Kyrgyzstan was the only member state to maintain a surplus.
According to published data, Kyrgyzstan's republican budget surplus doubled compared to the same period last year — 86.1 billion KGS ($1 billion) versus 41.3 billion KGS ($500 million) in 2024.
The other countries of the union ended January–September with a negative balance:
Against the backdrop of deficit dynamics in the region's largest economies, the sharp growth in Kyrgyzstan's surplus looks particularly striking. The country remains the only one in the EAEU where budget revenues consistently exceed expenditures — both in national currency and in dollar terms.
