Safflower oil production in the Ak-Talinsky district will increase 16-fold

New Turkish equipment for filtering safflower oil has arrived in the Ak-Talinsky district. The equipment was delivered with the support of the UNDP project and is already being prepared for launch.

Entrepreneur Akylbek Abdyldaev said that the new line will allow the production of up to 800 kilograms of safflower oil per day, which is 16 times more than the previous capacity of the enterprise. Previously, the production operated only on a custom basis and produced about 50 litres of oil per day.

The enterprise began operations in the autumn of 2023 and has already processed 5 tonnes of seeds in its first year and more than 10 tonnes in 2024. Currently, a litre of safflower oil costs 200 KGS, and demand for the product is gradually growing.

The installation of equipment is being completed, and the plant is preparing to go into full-scale operation. The launch of the new line will be an important step for the development of the processing industry and support for local producers in the region.
