02/21/2026, 09:05A meeting was held at the Ministry of Labour, Social Security and Migration of the Kyrgyz Republic between Minister Kudaibergen Sagybaev and Birender Singh Yadav, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India to the Kyrgyz Republic. The parties discussed prospects for cooperation in the field of labour and employment, including issues of international labour mobility.
The key focus was on protecting the rights and legitimate interests of labour migrants from India. This points to the possibility of attracting Indian specialists to work in Kyrgyzstan within the framework of bilateral agreements. The aim is to establish transparent employment mechanisms and ensure decent working conditions for foreign workers.
The minister noted that developing cooperation with India is important for strengthening interaction in the social and labour sphere. Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their readiness to continue the dialogue and develop the partnership, which potentially opens the way for new workers from India to enter the Kyrgyz labour market.
