Kyrgyzstan's External and Mutual Trade Overview

Kyrgyzstan's foreign trade turnover in January–February 2026 increased by 8.3% compared to the same period last year and amounted to $1.2 billion. This was reported by the National Statistical Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic. The growth in this indicator reflects the expansion of foreign economic activity against the backdrop of a recovery in business dynamics.

The export structure is dominated by textile products, olive oil and gold. The geography of supplies is expanding due to the CIS countries and the states of Southeast Asia. Machinery and equipment, fuel and food products account for a significant share of imports, which is associated with the modernisation of industry and domestic demand.

Analysts note that the current dynamics indicate diversification of trade relations and a gradual restructuring of foreign economic flows. The authorities are continuing to work to reduce barriers and expand export opportunities, hoping to maintain positive dynamics in the coming months.
