On 9 June, as part of an assessment of the regions’ economic potential, a meeting was held with the President’s Plenipotentiary Representative in the Batken region, district akims and city mayors. They presented initiatives and proposals for the development of the territories.
According to the press service, particular attention is being paid to projects in the fields of agriculture, tourism, industry, water supply and energy. It is expected that their implementation will create new jobs and improve the standard of living of the population.
According to Bakyt Torobaev, the main task is to identify the investment potential of each district and translate it into tangible economic projects.
The work is being carried out on the instructions of President Sadyr Zhaparov and involves the systematisation of investment proposals, the formation of a high-quality investment portfolio, and the more effective utilisation of the economic opportunities of the country’s regions.
During the visit, the prospects for the development of the Batken, Leylek and Kadamzhay districts were also discussed, as well as current issues relating to their socio-economic development.
