The Audit Office has identified budget shortfalls of 29.6 billion KGS and reserves of 93.6 billion KGS

Following its audit and expert analysis activities for 2025, the Audit Office of Kyrgyzstan has identified additional reserves to replenish the budget amounting to 93.6 billion KGS. This is stated in the agency’s official report submitted to the Jogorku Kenesh.

As noted in the document, the identified reserves do not constitute financial irregularities. These are funds that can be additionally mobilised for the budget through the implementation of economic measures, improved administration and more effective management of state resources.

The total volume of such internal opportunities to replenish budgets at various levels amounted to 93 billion 614.8 million KGS.

At the same time, the auditors recorded the irrational and inefficient use of financial and other resources amounting to 29 billion 630.9 million KGS. These funds were classified as budget losses.

The Audit Chamber explained that such losses arise in cases where state bodies fail to take the necessary measures in a timely manner or where the allocated funding does not lead to the achievement of the set objectives.
